Selecting a competition model
We choose the model especially according to the competition category we plan to compete in. The competition category is given on the web page of the plane. We further choose according to the weather conditions the model flies in. It means that we choose the lightest possible model for thermic and windless categories, but we must keep in mind that for worse weather conditions (wind 3m/s and more) it is better to choose a model with firmer construction than to add weight and risk its damage during dynamic start. Each model has a prepared offer of firmness versions, a pilot can choose his own.
The final weight of the model influences also its colour. Generally, the darker coloured models and the ones coloured transparent (see through) are weightwise the best. With the transparent spray you must count with the final look of colour - it is not 100% regarding the intensity. Nevertheless, in competitive flying the look is not as important as the final result. And the weight is extremely important for result.
